As the saying goes, I remember it like it was yesterday. My wife, Lisa, and I attended a remarkable play performed the night before the 2019 NRL Convention began in beautiful, historic Charleston, South Carolina. Viable: The truth in One Act was the kind of performance that touched the hearts and minds of the standing-room only audience.
Viable was written by Dr. John Hoover, a former writer of live shows for the Disneyland Entertainment Division, and a New York Times bestselling author. John was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write this play to meet a special need for times such as these.
What you will see is quite amazing. Viable will keep you on the edge of your seat as it did me. It begins as a mystery, explores every human emotion, and ends in a beautiful story of forgiveness, redemption, and the love of Jesus.
If you’re looking for a Mother’s Day gift that goes beyond the ordinary, Viable is the perfect option.
National Right to Life, in coordination with Christian Creative Media and WatchSalemMedia.Com, will stream Viable beginning on Mother’s Day through June 10, 2020. The cost will be $19.99, and individuals will be able to watch the play from the comfort of their home, for as many times during that timeframe as they wish. (You may view the play on a smart TV or on a computer.)
But, if you didn’t see the play, what makes Viable so special, something you would want to share? Well, I’m not going to give away the plot, but I am going to share what the play embodies.
Viable reminds us how a single decision may act like an out-of-control wrecking ball, wreaking havoc for generations to come. However Viable is a play steeped in the Christian faith, reminding us that our God is a forgiving Father who seeks reconciliation with His children regardless of their pasts.
The play also illustrates that forgiveness is not just vertical. The great C.S. Lewis wrote, “I think that if God forgives us, we must forgive ourselves. Otherwise, it is almost like setting up ourselves as a higher tribunal than Him.”
Pray that many, many people take the opportunity to view Viable. Please also use your social media contact lists to urge people to sign up at WatchSalemMedia.Com. There will be a box, with the name Viable and details to follow, or the actual box where you can click, purchase the play, and watch it.
It may well also be something your church would be interested in promoting.
Thank you so much for reading this post. I hope you sign up personally and encourage many others to stream Viable: The truth in One Act.
